Commercial fishing
Trawling - the main method of fish production, currently accounting for more than 70%.
Time spent on staging and sampling trawl significantly less than when dealing with networks, catches the same very large, from 4-5 to 100-120 tons per lift, depending on the type and thickness of the vessel. And it gets into everything that is in the water.
The challenge is to quickly handle all of this, it is sorted, expanded in a pan, send it in the freezer for freezing.
In the late 70's - early 80's fishing fleet is constantly replenished with new, large, modern vessels: large freezer trawlers of various modifications, the largest of which are little inferior in size floating base. For example, trawlers BAT type "Octopus" have a length of 109 meters, and engine power 7200 hp and can p rocess up to 150 tons of fish per day! These vessels may be in the autonomous navigation for months, if not more.
Having mastered the North-west Atlantic, the f leet moved south to the shores of Africa, the region of Mauritania and the Gulf of Guinea, and later in South-west Atlantic, the coast of Argentina.
